WonkyZebra 127 Bunny Cardigan 122

WonkyZebra 127 Bunny Cardigan 122

Three absolutely darling little cardigans.

With their bunnies and chicks they’re just right for spring or Eastertide. The motifs are given as a chart so would be great for any other pattern you have, or for cross stitch for instance.
I have enhanced and enlarged these charts so they are very much easier to read- but the original scan is also included so you get to see the whole vintage patterns.

The size is given for age 1-2 (22 inch chest) and 20, 22 and 24 chest. However vintage sizing was quite different, with a much tighter fit ; so please do check how the actual chest measurement would fit your little model!

Interestingly the older pattern of the yellow cardigan is early 50’s maybe, but is still using an even older font style and logo, with sweet little woodland illustrations .The other two white cardigans were printed bit later, in 1962, but although the bunny motif has been reused they look quite different . I have also found lots of toy patterns published and republished in different patterns in this way, as the company must have gone back to their archives ( to save costs ?).

About WonkyZebra

WonkyZebra and I have collected tons of patterns over the years. Before this was fashionable and the whole “vintage” thing happened, it was just considered to be a funny sort of hoarding; a bit “anorak” to use one of the slightly mocking terms us English specialise in. Now it is a wonderful source of lost treasure in the online textile universe; who would have guessed! It was quite a relief to find there are many others “out there” who appreciate a good pattern-and maybe even enjoy using them! I think it is a good thing anyone can get access to the designs instead of just those lucky enough to find them in gran’s workbox or charity shops. So, here we are with all our hoard, trying to make it all available as fast as we can…hooves don’t help much so it is down to me. I squeeze it in between actual crocheting, knitting, life, and other sundries. Vintage patterns; PDFs for sale at http://wonkyzebra.etsy.com
