A lovely elegant lace suit from the sixties. The plain skirt is super easy and the lace banded jacket is only little more complex. The hip length jacket has an unusual asymmetrical opening, fastened with matching crocheted buttons. (Instructions are given for the buttons – but you could of course buy buttons.) It can easily be shortened to a crop length if preferred. This would be perfect for a wedding, or any “dressed up” event.

WonkyZebra 275 Ski Caps 2057

WonkyZebra 275 Ski Caps 2057

Knitted Hats Pattern PDFFabulous fifties vintage knitted ski caps for men, women and children.Notice he gets macho huntsman reindeer,- she gets the little people! Hats by gender; just so we know our place, lol!The tassel will come in handy to identify your child as he or she zooms off down the piste!
Please note these are not charted instructions but given stitch by stitch-line by line. I happen to like this but there is no visual chart safety net to check the image progress, other than the one cover photo.Of course you can easily colour some squared paper to make one for yourself!

Lovely retro look –and fun gifts for Christmas in cold climates- or even made into a tea cosy. Hmm

WonkyZebra 276 Ripple One Piece

WonkyZebra 276 Ripple One Piece

Crochet Swimsuit Pattern PDFA saucy sassy little sun suit swimsuit number. For the beach- or as a “body”; great for dance wear! (Or under a wrap skirt.)The ripple stitch pattern gives nice stretch, but with a good fit; and just imagine the colour effects you could get. You could go for “hot and spicy”, full of eastern promise like bikini 217, cool jewels, like bedspread 257, or ice cream pastels. You could even graduate them for a costume base- mermaid, firebird…Or all in white for some Fifties glamour..I’m sure you have some ideas now!

In fact someone did !

Sadly another seller liked the colouring idea so much, they have copied the idea, even the colours (but must have got bored before finishing all of them LOL).

Why do people do this? it is so lazy…

Even worse, there is a whole sale “lift” of my arduosly retouched version of the photo for bikini 221 AND my listing words , and very rude reply to my question “why ?”.

So please buy WonkyZebra’s version; I give pattern support and freebies – doesn’t look like “RHM”takes too much effort with theirs…

I only mention this out of sheer frustration, as nothing can be done.

WonkyZebra 277 Orange Granny 6058

WonkyZebra 277 Orange Granny 6058

A pattern for a fabulous crochet minidress in this season’s “granny square” stitch.Super easy to make; you can whip this up in next to no time.Would also make up as a cute sweater, crop or tank top, or tunic; a really versatile pattern. The dress is worked hem up but could be very easily adapted to work from the waist downwards so you have more control over the hip measurement and length. There is a helpful instruction for the colour insertion rows so you could start from there.Shown here in bright seventies favourites but you could easily make this a stash buster in scrap afghan style. Use lots of different colours for a 70’s missoni look.

About WonkyZebra

WonkyZebra and I have collected tons of patterns over the years. Before this was fashionable and the whole “vintage” thing happened, it was just considered to be a funny sort of hoarding; a bit “anorak” to use one of the slightly mocking terms us English specialise in. Now it is a wonderful source of lost treasure in the online textile universe; who would have guessed! It was quite a relief to find there are many others “out there” who appreciate a good pattern-and maybe even enjoy using them! I think it is a good thing anyone can get access to the designs instead of just those lucky enough to find them in gran’s workbox or charity shops. So, here we are with all our hoard, trying to make it all available as fast as we can…hooves don’t help much so it is down to me. I squeeze it in between actual crocheting, knitting, life, and other sundries. Vintage patterns; PDFs for sale at http://wonkyzebra.etsy.com
